FREE COUNSELING

The Professional Assistance Committee is a free, confidential counseling and referral service available to all Professionals and their family members.

PROCESS

Schedule an appointment with a counselor, and they will meet with you in a confidential setting to help you assess the problem.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Staff members and physicians may call the PAC confidentially. If a physician self-reports for assistance, the PAC can offer assistance in complete confidence.

Services

We provide a wide range of services, including:

  • Referral to appropriate treatment
  • Assessment & evaluation
  • Ongoing monitoring
  • Advocacy for participating physicians
  • Liaison with the Med-Chi Physician Health Program
  • Educational programs
  • Documentation of recovery

Assistance for Medical Professionals

The Professional Assistance Committee (PAC) assists members of the medical staff (including residents) who may be at risk of becoming impaired due to the use of alcohol or drugs, emotional distress, or a physical disability.

Confidential & Non-disciplinary

The Professional Assistance Committee serves as a resource and an advocate for the physician experiencing these kinds of problems. It is confidential and non-disciplinary.
